Overview

 

HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, the only trade fair in Italy dedicated to fashion accessories, bijoux and trendy jewellery, is organising a virtual meet-up focused on Greece, one of the main Mediterranean countries with a strong interest in the Italian market.

 

Wednesday 3rd of March, join the online event “Jewellery and Fashion Accessories: S/S 2021 trends and the Mediterranean focus" for an in-depth look at a country that exports about 8 million euro each year in bijoux and fashion accessories to Italy, with an estimated growth of 5% between 2020 and 2024 (source: FMI-World Outlook Economic).

 

On the agenda, on top of an overview of the Italy/Greece market, there will be an in-depth look at fashion trends for the spring-summer season, thanks to a comprehensive survey carried out by The Polytechnic University of Milan.

 

True to its purpose as a platform for the bijoux and fashion accessories market, HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition affirms its status as a sector leader, offering its community increasing opportunities for networking, business and discussion all in the phygital realm, in the run-up to the next in-person event, at Fiera Milano, from September 18 to 20 in 2021.

Dimitris Koutsoubelis

Managing Director, ASAP Athens Communication Agency

Dimitris Koutsoubelis is an Economics Graduate, with a Master’s Degree in Econometrics. He is a Communication expert in all forms of advertising & promotion. He has also been involved in exhibitions’ organizing for over 35 years in Greece & abroad for the promotion of Greek products with a total of more than 300 fairs and events. He has organized exhibitions in many major cities of the world from Japan, to US and across Europe. The last 20 years he is representing selected International Exhibitions in Greece from major Fair organizers, among which are Fiera Milano and Reed Exhibitions in areas like: Jewelry, Home Décor, Fashion accessories, Oil & Gas, Heating & Air-conditioning, Maritime and many more. The main objective of his company, Asap Athens is to facilitate and make possible to Greek companies who want to develop their business all over the world, by participating in International fairs. In addition Dimitris Koutsoubelis through Asap Athens is offering 360o communication services to many local & international clients besides exhibitions, covering the areas of marketing, branding, advertising, digital marketing and creative content for all media, traditional & digital. He has been awarded several times for Creativity in advertising, for many known ad campaigns.

Nena Tzilou

Exhibition’s Director, ASAP Athens Communication Agency

Nena Tzilou, has studied in UBC Vancouver Canada, French Literature & in Boston University. For many years she was involved in exhibition organizing in Greece through the family business, who were from 1974 the first private Exhibition Organizer in Greece, involved in the promotion of Greek products all over the world. For the last 15 years she is the Foreign Exhibitions Director in Asap Athens Communication Agency, who represents selectively many international fairs in Greece & Cyprus, organized by Fiera Milano & Reed Exhibitions. Over the years she has organized with her team dozens of National Greek participations all over the world in various sectors such as: Jewelry, Home Décor, Lifestyle items, HVAC, Maritime, Oil & Gas and a lot more. Her expertise lies in facilitating all procedures to Greek companies in securing their successful participation, for all the fairs she is entrusted with, working passionately and effectively. Her vast experience in fairs & her communication skills make her a valuable asset to Asap Athens.

Emanuele Guido

Exhibition Director Business Unit Lifestyle, Fiera Milano

Graduated in Business Administration in 2003 , at the University Bocconi (Milan) , since September 2019 Emanuele Guido is Director of the Lyfestile Business Unit of Fiera Milano, which includes Fashion and Lifestyle Exhibitions directly organized by the Italian Company. In his prevoius working experiences, Emanuele Guido hold important roles in the Exhibition Industry, in marketing and international devolopments assignments, in Italy and abroad. SInce October 2010 he is also Director of the Strategic Marketing Division of Fiera Milano.

Beatrice Rossato

PhD Candidate, Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano

PhD Candidate in Design, Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on the relationship between the jewel and the body. She studied at the Politecnico di Milano, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. During her master studies she completed her education course at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She works as a freelance designer and photographer and carries out academic activities as a tutor at the Final Synthesis Labs of fashion, jewellery and accessory courses at the Politecnico di Milano. She teaches in the Master in Accessory Design (POLI.design) and she is part of the faculty of the Milano Fashion Institute (consortium of Bocconi University, Politecnico di Milano and Cattolica universities).

Katerina Vassou

Designer and co-owner, Katerina Vassou Jewellery

Katerina Vassou is the designer and co-owner of the Greek brand Katerina Vassou Jewellery. Her journey as a jewellery designer started in 2004, when she intoduced her very first collection in the demanding Greek market. Owner of several retail jewellery stores by then, she decided it was the time to move on to the next step in order to obtain a competitive advantage in the field. The goal was to create fashion jewellery, of highest quality and flawless finish, in approachable prices. 100% handmade jewellery, made of brass and silver 925, original designs, decorated with semi-precious stones and crystals from Swarovski, made an impressive first impact on the Greek buyers. This great success, accompanied with the vision of the designer to create new trends in the world of jewellery, led to the opening of the first exclusive boutique in 2015, along with the foundation of the company Katerina Vassou Jewellery. In 2018 the brand was widely introduced to the rest of the world, by participating in international fairs, such as Homi Milan, Bijorhca Paris and Bisutex Madrid. It was a dream come true for her, seeing professionals from all around the world, embracing the brand, choosing it as an attraction for their customers, and speaking highly of its quality and originality. Now, in 2021, Katerina Vassou is the co-owner of 4 exclusive boutiques in Athens, Greece, and her brand Katerina Vassou jewellery has several selling points in Greece, more than 15 corners in Athens, and over 500 active customers, owners of jewellery stores and boutiques, all over the world. Her goal is to achieve, through a wide selection of creations and trends, to be a source of trust and inspiration for women all over the world.

Nelly Georgiadi

Marketing Manager, Kalliope Jewelry

She’s currently in her 4th year of her major degree at the University of Piraeus in the department of International & European Affairs, while she is leaving & working in Athens, Greece. She is also a junior researcher in the Euroasian & Turkish Laboratory of the University of Piraeus while she has attended various seminars on International Trade & Exports. She is fluent in Greek, English and French while having a basic knowledge in both German & Spanish. She has been working for the company under the brand name "KALLIOPE" since 2014. As the first daughter of the owners of the brand, she has been participating in international exhibitions, on behalf of the company, from the age of 15teen. She has been executing various duties in the company with her former positions as Communications Manager (2017) Social Media Director (2018-2019). From the year 2019 she is in charge of the Marketing Dept. of the company while alongside her sister Maria Georgiadi, she has been in charge of the two-man representation of the company in international exhibitions in the USA, in New York, as well as in the last edition of HOMI exhibition in Milan. She has been present in the HOMI exhibition, twice a year, since 2015.

Maria Georgiadi

Sales Manager, Kalliope Jewelry

She’s currently in her 3rd year of her Major degree at the University of Patras in the Dept. of Theatre Studies, while she is currently leaving & working in Athens, Greece. She is a verified Ballroom & Latin dance instructor while she has attended various seminars under the topic "Theory & History of Art". She is fluent in both Greek & English while she has basic knowledge in French and Spanish. She has been working for the company under the brand name "KALLIOPE" since 2014. As the second daughter of the owners of the brand, she has been participating in international exhibitions, on behalf of the company, from the age of 14teen. She has been executing various duties in the company with her former positions as Social Media assistant (2017) Shop Floor Manager (2018-2019). From the year 2019 she is in charge of the B2C Sales Dept. of the company while alongside her sister Nelly Georgiadi, she has been appointed as one of the two-man representation of the company in international exhibitions in the USA, in New York, as well as in the last edition of HOMI exhibition in Milan. She has been present in the HOMI exhibition , twice a year since 2015.
