Milan is, without doubt, one of the world’s big prêt-à-porter capitals, a cradle of trends in fashion and design, and as such a place that anyone working in the sector must visit.
As well as fashion week (the circuit that also takes in New York, London and Paris) and the numerous specialist schools providing training for the new generations, Milan offers a range of research opportunities gravitating around its trade fair.
The futuristic exhibition centre at Rho, designed by architect Massimiliano Fuksas, is home to a range of events for the world of fashion accessories. Prominent among them are HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, which has a particular eye for everything to do with jewellery items and other fashion accessories, setting new trends in collaboration with Poli.Design; MICAM and MIPEL, the international fairs devoted to leather goods (shoes, bags and other accessories); LINEAPELLE – A new point of view, an event devoted to leather goods, accessories and components, synthetic fibres and other fabrics. An unmissable series of events for brands that want to present their collections and establish contacts with the main buyers and professionals operating on a worldwide level.
Together, these sector events help make Milan what it is: an international fashion accessory capital.
