The desire for rebirth and beauty, two images that are often represented in a poetic or pop way by a butterfly flutter, is certainly involved. But not only that: we are witnessing the return of 2000s fashion. In fact, there are several references to the iconic top worn by Mariah Carey at the beginning of the new millennium, a model designed by Emanuel Ungaro that the singer wore with a pair of very low-waisted jeans (thus launching one of the strongest trends of the time and now re-proposed by emblazoned fashion houses).
These fickle and very elegant creatures are back, becoming the subject of various pieces of jewellery. They are colourful highlights in Trova Gioielli's pieces, mounted all in a row with a degradé effect in Bysimon Gioielli's pendant earrings, while other butterflies peep out on the torque necklace and cocktail ring of Beba Gioielli's Florentine collection.
